Sé de Lisboa (Igreja de Santa Maria Maior) is a cathedral worth seeing while walking around
Alfama. The Roman Catholic cathedral in Lisbon was built in 1150 in the Romanesque style. It commemorates the liberation of the city from the Moors. The building occupies the place where the main Moorish mosque was built in ancient Lisbon. The cathedral has a portal, huge rosette windows, and two turrets.
