Chuchelná

The village of Chuchelná is part of the Hlučín Region, which is a forgotten piece of Upper Silesia.

This is an area where the Czech, Moravian, German and Polish people lived together to create their own separate culture. A nice small town has a lot to offer. It is worth stopping at Lichnovský Park, there are benches and you can relax by a small pond. Nearby are other attractions such as Lichnovský Mausoleum, Kostel Povýšení sv. Kříže, Heritage museum in Chuchelná and the castle but I couldn't get to it. For a delicious Czech beer, I invite you to Tělovýchovná jednota Spartak Restaurant.

One Day Route: Hiking Loop around Leśnica Valley

Hiking along the mountain trails is not only nature and beautiful views. It also means meeting people. For more meetings, the route must be longer - in this humorous way, I will describe the beautiful route around the Leśnica Valley connecting Ustroń, Wisła, Szczyrk, and Brenna

I suggest starting the route in Ustroń - there is a large and free car park at Słoneczna Street. We start the route along the red trail among the buildings of Ustroń, then through the forest until we reach the parking lot in front of the Równica peak. We climb the yellow trail to the top. The view from here is not special but it is worth relaxing here. On the blue route, we can get back to the parking lot or go on an unmarked path - I suggest this option. The blue route will lead us to the summit of Trzy Kopce Wiślańskie, here we change the trail to yellow to the Salmopol pass and then the red and black route to Brenna. The green route leads from Brenna on the way back to the Równica peak and from here we return to our parking lot along the same red route.

The route is approximately 46 km long and should take less than 11 hours.

Petrovice u Karviné

Border areas are a place where nationalities, language and customs mix. Petrovice u Karviné is a fairly large Czech village on the border with Poland, which is very positive proof of the above thesis. You can easily speak here in Czech, Polish or English and the inhabitants are very friendly. It is worth coming here by bike or car to relax and eat well in Chateau Petrovice. The Chateau is surrounded by a small but well-kept park.
