Commemorative stones of the Lasy Rudzkie (Part II)

During the trip, I managed to find two more stones in the Ruda forests. The previous one can be found in this post.

The first stone for the immortalized name "Stowek". This stone was put up by Józef Szyndzielorz to commemorate his residence in this place. The word "Stowek" comes from the Cistercian times, so they called the local ponds.

Another stone has the name "Darz Bór". It is a traditional welcome for foresters and hunters who greet each other, say goodbye or wish good luck on the hunt

Lasy Rudzkie

Rudzkie Lasy is a very interesting option for long walks and cycling. The forests are divided by a dense network of roads. You can walk here differently each time. Here and there you can additional attractions like commemorative stones. It is also worth taking a stroll to Rud, where there is a gothic Cistercian palace-monastery.
