Tofukuji is a famous Zen temple in south-eastern Kyoto, which is especially beautiful looking surrounded by autumn colors. The temple was founded in 1236 on the recommendation of the Fujiwara clan.
Around this temple, there is a lot of other interesting places like San-mon Gate, Tsuten Bridge,
Hojo Garden and much more. It is worth spending some more time here and strolling among the centuries-old buildings.
Tofukuji is a ten minutes walk from Tofukuji station on the JR Nara line (2 minutes Kyoto station)
